Corpus Christi was honored on September 15, 2009 with one of the highest endorsements bestowed by the Department of Education, the coveted "Blue Ribbon School of Excellence" award, given to only 314 schools across the nation.

Principal Laura Zybrick explained "This accomplishment was achieved through the hard work and dedication of the teachers, staff, students, parents and Mr. George Chiplock, former principal. I'm thrilled and honored that this recognition has been awarded to Corpus Christi School."

On Tuesday, November 3, Ms. Zybrick along with Mrs. Charlotte Brown, kindergarten teacher, and Mr. George Chiplock, former principal, received the Blue Ribbon Award at a special ceremony at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C.

To celebrate this honor, Ms. Zybrick invited parents to a special Mass that was held on November 14th at St. Anthony's Church to honor our students and faculty. Alumni were also invited to share in this celebration. The Mass included Corpus Christi students and the presentation of the Blue Ribbon Award and flag to the school's student council representatives.

Corpus Christi will hold an evening open house during Catholic Schools Week on Thursday, February 4, 2010 from 6-8 PM at both campuses with our National Junior Honor Society students serving as tour guides. Parents will be able to visit classrooms, meet the faculty and receive an application package for the 2010-2011 open registration which begins on Tuesday, February 16, 2010.

As a "2009 Blue Ribbon School of Excellence", Corpus Christi provides the highest quality of academic instruction through Christ-centered teachings and progressive, challenging programs of studies that help to prepare students for honor and AP classes. Our middle school includes advanced Math and Spanish programs. Our Early Childhood Center offers part- and full-time preschool.
